Erzuan temple

Erzuan temple is located on the top of Boyufeng peak and is approximately 4 km southwest of Shaolin temple. According to legend, the second founder of Zen sect had lived in the cave to recover from his cutting of his arm, and the temple was built in memory of his activities therein. There are three rooms in the temple at the present. The temple has a great many stone tablets of Ming and Qing Dynasties and is surrounded by old pines. There are four wells therein, namely sweet well, sour well, bitter well and spicy well. The wells are said to be Zhuoxiquan spring, where Bodhidharma had found spring.
